It's cracked, it slopes the wrong way, and it bakes in full sun by ten in the morning. So the yard sits empty for half the year. A patio built for this climate fixes that. Shade where the afternoon sun hits. A surface that stays flat while the clay underneath moves. Water that drains away from your foundation instead of toward it.
What we build

Natural stone patios. Flagstone and cut stone, fitted piece by piece. No two patios come out alike.
Concrete patios. Poured concrete is the most budget-friendly way to add a ground-level patio. Stamped and colored finishes dress it up without the cost of stone.
Patio repair and replacement. We tear out the cracked slab and fix what made it fail. Then we build the patio you wanted in its place. We extend existing patios too.
If the space needs shade, we plan the patio around a pergola, arbor, existing roofline, or nearby trees. We focus on the patio itself, not screened porches or decks (wood or composite).

Built for North Texas heat and clay
Two local facts decide whether a patio lasts here. The first is clay. Our soil swells when it rains and shrinks when it bakes. That movement cracks anything sitting on a weak base. So we dig, bed, and compact before the first paver or form goes down. The second is water. A patio that slopes toward the house pushes every storm against your foundation. We grade the patio away from the structure. If the yard already holds water, our drainage services fix that first. Then there's the sun. A west-facing patio with no cover is unusable on summer afternoons. We plan shade into the design instead of treating it as an afterthought. And if your backyard slopes, a retaining wall and outdoor steps can turn that grade into usable levels.

A ground-level patio often does not need the same approvals as a roofed structure, but cities and HOAs vary. We talk through the rules during the design visit and do not guess on permit-sensitive work.
Yes. Depending on the grade, that can mean a leveled pad or tiered patio levels. Some yards call for a retaining wall with steps connecting the levels. Sloped yards often turn into the best outdoor spaces, because the levels give the design shape.
